Wow Dinene, these are nice. Thanks for you kind comment. I am self taught, no tutorials on the collages, sorry. Just play with pic combinations until I see what I like. Masking makes the smooth transitions from one pic to another. Your photos are great. I'd also like to know how you get your Rockwell look. Is that the HDR stuff? I've got so much to learn, enlighten me if you can. Thanks, Cindy

Hi Cindy, Thanks for the kind remarks. I didn't use HDR for any of these photos. The colonial man, the garage scene and the pottery w/the latern were done using the LucasArt filter. The two female portraits were ones that I painted in Photoshop. I followed Susi Lawson's tutorials. The wall and the darker pottery photos were done using the virtual photographer filter. I recently purchased photomatix which is a very good plugin to use for HDR and tonal mapping. I am still experimenting with it. I too have soooo much to learn. I really want to learn how to do collages that blend like yours. When you say that you use masks, do you apply blending modes and gradients to the masks to get the smooth transition? If you're interested in learning how to get the rockwell painted look, check out Susi Lawson's website. Just google her name and she comes up right away. Her work is awesome. She also has a NAPP portfolio that really good.
