Wild Grizzly (Adult Male) This photo is taken from a distance of about 20-30 feet. After a great day of following these bears on the river, we were in the process of loading our camera gear into the truck when this bear came up to the edge of the road and stopped to watch us. He simply put his elbow down onto a large rock in a classic Joseph Karsh portrait pose, and watched. After a while he lay his head down on his paws, and kept watching. There was no display of aggression, no anxiety (on his part) - simple curiosity.

Wow I would have loved to have been there to see this amazing beast in person, that's gotta be such a rush! What an outstanding shot too, I can see him resting his elbow on the rock and the way he's peering through the branches is so cute you just want to run over and hug him! One of the many reasons I'm better off at seeing him here at home.
