This is a most interesting shot of a most interesting subject. Surely there are other angles from which to capture this picturesque building. Would also like to know more about it: where, how old, it's original purpose. It really looks historical. John Steele

John, this is an "out building" in the Mills Mansion state park http://www.staatsburgh.org/faq.php?page=mansion. I am embarrassed to say I know very little of this buildings function or age. I had time on a Friday afternoon recently to walk along the trails on the property and found this along with the shell of a house with a very tall chimney (previous pictures) in the woods, off the trail. I have yet to find info specifically on these unkept buildings.

Klaudia, you made a comment about my black and white Osprey. There was something about that image that I liked, just "one" something; but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. You saw it, I didn't. It has the look and feel of "wind" throughout the wings. Now that I know what it is, I can appreciate the photo. I had my doubts about that photo but something was right enough to upload it. Thank you. Like I said, your captures reach deeper into nature that is evident by the naked eye, even into the work of other photographers.

Hi Klaudia, Thank you for the comment on my work (My Yearling Hawk). It seems I get to this web site about once a month, so that's why I'm behind in replying. Looking over your images I can see that you are capturing something deeper in nature, more intense than is seen by the naked eye. You're pulling out an existence that encompasses both beauty and struggle. Mohonk Lake attracts me due to its stark, lonely feeling. Solitude looks so perfect that it could be a miniature set. Fog is always calming and I love Mohonk Mountain House; beautiful capture. Rondout Lighthouse has a cold feeling about it, which I like; you must have shot it in winter or late evening. It gives the impression of a prison; both are isolated so that falls into place. Days Gone is my favorite; perfect crop if that was an option. Stairs from Devil's Hole, Excellent. Great depth of field. Couldn't have shot it any better. Girls Rugby, terrific! I'm sure they love this photo. Another great crop or capture on Nevada Line; perfect. Hand Pump is the sort of thing that I would shoot; I love those funky things that people pass by without noticing. Klaudia, Beautiful Portfolio, as alwaysl!
