Hi Barbara, Thanks again for looking at my portfolio and taking the time to comment on my duck floating in the peaceful night waters. Looking through your work now I see such a variety that it more or less gives me an idea of your personality; it's what I call "shoot-from-the-hip" success. Your images are floating in freedom, as are you. Wonderful work. I chose this image to post a comment because I love the way you added the painted look. I accidentally did that when I intended to print on glossy paper but instead had the white cardboard that came in the Epson package loaded in my printer. It was a very nice outcome. I don't usually play with filters any longer but I would like to duplicate that look on occasion. I believe my e-mail address is on this site, but in case not, it's LightforceX3@aol.com. I've never used Painter, but will buy it if necessary. If this is a technique you would like to keep personal, I understand. I get to this web page about once a month to change the images, therefore, my delay in replying to your comment. Thank you, again. Mary Ann

Barbara, it was a toss-up on which image to post a reply to your comment on my seagull. The one your daughter took stopped me. So few images are taken in the rain. I love to see them and that one if full of the essence of the moment. It's a personal look that gets to me. She's following in your footsteps. I chose this one again to comment on because it still is impressive. I got a new computer and lost all of my e-mail so your gracious instructions on how to achieve this look were lost. I appreciate your time in sending it, and the generosity with it. I've been off this site for quite a while, so it's time to refresh it. I still don't know how you manage to support almost every single member's work. You're quite special. Mary Ann
